ABOUT THE CRAVAT

The Cravat is a form of neckwear that predates the everyday bow tie and necktie. It is thought that the cravat was originally used as a way of concealing a dirty shirt. Nowadays the cravat is a less common item of clothing although in recent years has made a come back into the fashion industry as an 'upmarket' bow tie / neck tie. The cravat being distinctive and unique is therefore often worn on special occasions such as weddings.

The cravat has begun making an appearance in unlikely media circumstances for example Paul Tisdale manger of Exeter FC can often be seen sporting a variety of neckwear particularly cravats whislt on the sidelines of match days.

There is no doubt that cravats are making a comeback into the fashion world as not only an item of clothing for special occasions but also for everyday smart dress. Find the ideal cravat for yourself here.
